Call for Abstracts - Guidelines

We invite abstracts for oral and poster presentations from Aotearoa and the Pacific region that align with one or more of the following conference objectives.

  • Children and the Environment
  • Children and the Pandemic
  • Culture & Identity
  • Prevention & Autonomy
  • Strengthening family and community systems
  • Bridging our Children’s Workforce
  • Children’s data across systems
  • Impact of Digital System

Abstract Format

Oral Presentation

  • Presenters will be allocated 15 minutes: 10-minute presentation, 5-minute discussion
  • PowerPoint is the standard medium for presentations however other formats are allowed by prior arrangements to ensure the right facilities will be available.

Poster Presentation

  • Posters will be on display for the entire conference.
  • Posters should be A0 portrait (1189mm high x 841mm wide). The poster panels will be velcro receptive. Other poster formats can be negotiated by prior arrangement.

A condition of submission is that, if accepted, the abstracts will be published in the online conference programme on the Moana Connect website.

Title of Presentation

Authors/Presenters & Institutions/Organisations/Groups:

  • Show first and last name only
  • The name of the presenter should be indicated in bold and underlined.

Body of Abstract

  • Background: purpose of the study/ the study’s objectives
  • Approach: the methods, framework or approach used
  • Results: a summary of the results or outcomes
  • Conclusion: the significance of the findings or outcomes

Note: Upon abstract acceptance, all presenters must register. Please note the presenter will be responsible for own costs of presentation such as conference registrations, fees, travel, accommodation and any other expenses.
